• We are research assistants working on a research study.
• The goal for the study is to learn about how socially connecting with others in your community affects your wellbeing (mind and body health).
• We will be asking you about your social networks in Regina (whether you have been able to make friends in Regina, who you talk to when you feel lonely or sad, who helps you learn about Canada, etc).
• We will also be asking how it makes you feel to have these people in your life. Or how it feels when you do not have enough social connections.
Your personal information will not be shared with anybody else. And you will not be individually identified to anyone in the study.
• The answers to your questions will be used to help us better understand the social connection needs of refugees in Regina and to share how others can help with this.
• You do not have to participate in this study.
• You can choose to not participate and no one will be upset at your choice.
• If you become uncomfortable or do not want to continue, you can stop the interview at any time.
• If you participate, we would set up a time and place to ask you questions about the topic.
• We can ask you the questions either in a private room at Regina Open Door Society [RODS] or in your home, whichever you are more comfortable with.
• We understand English may not be your first language. We  can arrange to have an interpreter with us if you need one to help us communicate well.
• If you participate in the study you will receive a $25 gift certificate.
• The study has been approved by the Research Ethic Board. The number to verify the approval is: #R-0082
