Canadian Council for Refugees Conference - Begins Wednesday, Nov. 25th!

The 2020 CCR Fall Conference will run from Nov. 26 - Dec. 11, 2020
The theme of this year's conference is
Challenges and beyond: thriving in the era of a pandemic
The Virtual Consultation will feature a two non-competing 90 minute sessions per day and will be geared toward Refugees, immigrants, representatives of refugee and immigrant-serving organizations, government, UNHCR, academics, community workers, lawyers, youth advocates and more! Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend!
Each of these webinars and on-line meetings will explore key issues affecting vulnerable communities as well new opportunities emerging in the midst of a health crisis.
Participants will share strategies, tools and resources to move beyond the challenges.
Webinars will cover a wide range of topics including:
Indigenous perspectives on welcoming newcomers
Anti-Black racism inequities in systems
Addressing refugee determination issues during COVID
Family or stranger? Who Canada welcomes
Innovative approaches to housing
Dealing with the pandemic: quarantining and beyond
