International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS)!

Many positions at different workplaces require international educational credentials to be assessed and compared to educational standards in Canada.

If your education was not obtained in Canada, your credentials can be assessed through IQAS (International Qualifications Assessment Service). IQAS assessments are designed to increase access and entry to the job market, educational institutions and professional regulatory organizations. Assessment types and samples
IQAS provides three different types of assessments:

BASIC - $100

The most common assessment type, useful for individuals seeking general employment. 
Indicates:

• the name of the institution attended
• the degree(s), diploma(s) or certificate(s) received
• the length of the program
• the area of specialization/focus of study
• a general statement about the comparative levels of achievement in Canada

An additional cost of $100 is required to assess the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) course work report.

EDUCATIONAL - $100
View a sample certificate
Provides an evaluation for admission into specified post-secondary educational institutions in Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories. Includes the same information as the BASIC assessment plus a table that indicates the level of achievement in specific high school courses required for admission.
Note: To ensure best outcomes of the Educational Assessment, both secondary and post-secondary credentials with transcripts/mark sheets should be provided.

SPECIALIZED - $200 (+$75 for each additional degree or credential)

Provided in special cases where required by a specific post-secondary institution or professional regulatory organization. Before applying for this assessment please contact the professional licensing organization or educational institution you wish to enter to ensure that they require this type of assessment.
Note: The Specialized Assessment requires official documentation indicating courses taken and the number of credits or hours of study. IQAS will not be able to complete the assessment unless this information is supplied.
